Amy - I'm with Mom on worrying you're going to be the next Kristin Holman. Running herself right out of her family and the church. On the other hand, it can be a very nice hobby if kept in balance.
Mom- You're right on many points about the juice-diet. It's certainly temporary but I'm an extremist, that's how I roll. I do have some justifications though.
This is actually something doctors recommend for various reasons (heals or prevents certain diseases, release pent-up toxins in fat, cleanses colon, etc) I don't really buy into it all 100%, BUT, I'm looking at it as a way to really kick start a diet. It is great for breaking your "addictions" to things like snacks, just eating for eating sake, heavy foods, etc. With the juices, I'm consuming almost every kind of fruit and vegetable imaginable and having nothing bad.
OK, so I think I really let you all down last night. I watched a movie by myself (Grown Ups) and decided to give my body a little something to chew on for the first time in 4 days. I decided that it would be good for my digestive system to have some solids to work on for a change. Oh, and I also was confronted with the smell of movie popcorn on the way in. So, as Amy says "I did eat". I don't feel bad about it personally, because I'm not convinced that having NO solids is a great idea. Anyway, I'm back on the wagon now with the juices. I just took a 2 hour break.
Did I mention I also had "Goobers". Looking back on it, I really screwed up a good opportunity. I took a break to have real food for one time in the whole week and what did I ingest? Movie popcorn and Goobers. Great choice, Ben!
